Just In: Army hands over seized hemp to NDLEA in Ogun


The 35 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Alamala, Abeokuta, Ogun State, handed over substance suspected to be hemp, weighing 223kg, to the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in the state.

Spokesperson of the Brigade, Lt. Mohammed Goni, in a statement yesterday, said the troops last Friday intercepted a Mazda bus (NRK 622 SB) conveying the 441 pawpaw sized substance at Mologbede village in Odeda Local Government Area.

According to him, the brigade Commander, Brig.-Gen. Mohammed Aminu, praised the troops for their efforts, and urged them to continue to remain vigilant in their various locations.
